Get answers to common questions about Dermaplaning with facial.
Dermaplaning with Facial combines precision dermaplaning — a sterile blade exfoliation that removes dead skin and vellus hair — with a customized facial. The result is smoother texture, immediate brightness, and improved product absorption for healthier-looking skin.
Most skin types benefit, especially dry, dull, or textured skin. Avoid dermaplaning with active acne, open wounds, or certain inflammatory conditions. We assess skin during consultation to confirm suitability and tailor the facial for safe, effective results.
Appointments typically last about 60 minutes, including consultation, dermaplaning, targeted exfoliation, calming mask, and finishing serums. Shorter or longer sessions may apply depending on skin concerns, treatment depth, and any chosen add-on services.
No — dermaplaning removes surface vellus hair but does not change hair thickness or growth rate. Hairs regrow the same texture and appear soft. Regular sessions may make regrowth more noticeable initially, but hair will not become coarser.
Side effects are usually mild and temporary: light redness, slight sensitivity, or minimal flaking for 24–48 hours. Avoid direct sun, harsh exfoliants, and retinoids immediately after treatment. We provide aftercare advice and products to soothe recovery.
For most clients we recommend scheduling dermaplaning with a facial every 4–6 weeks to maintain smooth texture and consistent results. Your esthetician will suggest an individualized frequency based on hair growth, skin goals, and any concurrent treatments.
